CONTOH TUGAS BAHASA INGGRIS PART#5 Pengertian Future Progressive Dan Karakteristiknay
Q
n A from Audience
1. When do we use
future progressive? (Putri Ramadhani)
Answer:
Of course we use to
declare an event or action that we will do in the future but the action has
started, is running, but not yet finished.
For
example:
We
already have movie tickets, to watch Finding Nemo movie tomorrow at 8 pm, then
the correct grammatical sentence is to use future progressive
with example:
• I will be watching Finding Nemo in Cinema
XXI at 8pm tomorrow.
Description
:
Well in the example
above the activity is already planned for tomorrow, in the plan at 8 pm that
the subject was doing the watch activity
Like
another example:
For
example tomorrow there is a sarasvati isyana concert at Bengkulu sport rays
hotel, all are planning this activity because isyana has arrived in Bengkulu
only the concert will start tomorrow. So in this context of course we must use
future progressive, namely:
• Ayu will be coming in isyana's concert
tomorrow.
Why not just use simple
futures? Would not it still have a meaning equation?
The
answer,
It has almost the same
meaning, described in the book that between "simple futures and future progressive slightly different even not
different at all". But in the study grammar we have to be precise in
compiling a sentence according to the context and time of its use. If using a
simple future for the phrase ayu will be watching isyana's concert
tomorrow, it will be different time and very inappropriate grammatical structure.
*)Simple
future only explains or declares the action or event to be done or what will
happen in the future but the incident has not started yet or not yet in
progress.
2. What is the
difference between future progressive and simple futures? (Asep Tian Nanda)
Answer:
The
difference is only visible from the context of its application only.
- If future progressive
is used for upcoming events, already started, is in progress, but not
completed.
- Simple future is only
used to describe an event that will occur in the future but has not or does not
start at all, or only limited discourse and plan that will not necessarily
happen.
- So if we will make a
sentence or say something that will be planned in the plan it is definitely
going to take place use future progressive.
By
example:
[prolog]:
"I
always go every Tuesday at 4 pm to study grammar until 6 pm on campus, now
Monday. I want to tell my friends that I am studying grammar on campus from 4
pm to 6 pm ".
Then
use future progressive to be a sentence like the following:
"I will be studying grammar at 5pm
tomorrow in the campus"
If we use simple
futures THEN the sentence will not be appropriate, be confused, and definitely
lose its grammatical function.
